There are two important bills that we need to get passed and we need your help!
Assembly Bill (AB) 1256 creates buffer zones around schools and other important public places.
Assembly Bill (AB) 1356 amends the civil stalking law to include placing someone (including children) under 24/7 surveillance as actionable – many states around the country have already enacted this amendment. (This will also greatly benefit victims of domestic violence.)
The details of both bills can be found HERE!
Both bills go up for a vote by the Assembly Judiciary Committee next Tuesday, January 14th.
Please voice your support. These bills are all about personal privacy – which affects us all. The committee needs to know people want this legislation to pass. FAX a letter of support to the list of committee members listed HERE!
If nothing else, please fax your letter to the committee chairperson. Your elected officials need to hear you care about this issue.
